Now AWESOME CAR A TOTAL LOSS!!!

Now we are trying to find another fully loaded one.

Have you guys ever had a car shipped to you? I'm in the market for a D but there aren't many in my area and there seem to be much better deals down south.

I have had a car shipped, but only a new one. Which was an awesome delivery day by the way. I would be reluctant on a used one. Flights are cheap though, negotiate on price remotely, fly out there buy and drive an epic journey home, or ship it and fly back.

Also did the 1400 mile drive home. The lender was going to charge me an extra $200 (from them, Bank of America) never mind the shipping cost of (IIRC) $1000. This was enough persuasion for me to bring her home myself. The dealer in PA paid my travel expenses too (~$600).

Out of state loan was quirky too. I couldn't get my local credit union to do loan as they said car had to be Texas titled. Bank of America (BOA) had no problem doing this and had a better rate than credit union. Six months later, the credit union's rate fell below BOA and I moved the loan since car now had Texas title.

A white car in a hot climate is a good thing. Think of it as the twin sister of the crashed one. Good luck

I flew to Vancouver and took a 'scenic' 5500km roadtrip back home to Ontario to grab my '09. No regrets at all, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Took me about 2 months to find that car. Everything down here was either a stripper base model or a US car with a crash history. The 335d soaked up that trip without a hiccup. I told the sales guy I'd be back for a 535d when the time comes, lol.

I got lucky and found exactly what I wanted 25 miles from me. 2011 M Sport in LeMans blue on Black with 46k miles with 1 owner.

and i found one at 14k with 142k km on the clock only needing a brake and bearing job 100km from me.
