Yeah, the performance isn't noticeably affected but the handling sure is. Climbing mountain passes still no big deal.

I should send you a pic, but I once loaded 1400lbs of floor tile and grout + 360lbs of passengers in to a 2015 335i. you couldn't see the top of the rims becasue they were up in the wheel well. My wife was like you're driving a total hoopty. The max cargo capacity of the 335i is ~950lbs, I looked it up after going way, way beyond.

Did the same thing in an X5 as well, it didn't look quite as sad.

I was being a bit melodramatic. Probably less than 3 200-lb pax and luggage. But it was definitely squatting and heavy.
