Hey guys. My 07 335I needs rear brakes done. I was told you can't turn the rotors on our cars, and have to replace the rotors as well as the pads. Not sure about the sensors, was planning on reusing mine, unless that can be an issue.

Anyway, the dealer quoted me a RIDICULOUS price for rear pads, rotors and sensors. Just seeing if I could possibly save any money by sourcing out the parts on my own, and taking them to a local independent shop?

Was thinking about while I'm there, I might as well do cross-drilled rotors, but only if it's cost affective. In that case, I'll stick with the factory solid rotors.

Any advice on where or what parts to purchase to save a few bucks? Thanks guys. I think BMW quoted me around $800 for rear sets alone. Around $400 per side with rotors, pads and sensors.

Ecs tuning had a few package deals already picked out for you. Or you can put a package together yourself on there. And then go compare prices.

ECS has drilled and slotted rotors+Hawk Pads+Sensors for $280ish shipped.
Not a horrible deal.

I think Zimmerman would be the preferred OEM swaps, I'd look at the stoptech/ecs sets though if you want cross-drilled. Check prices from various different vendors, FYI you aren't gaining any advantage with the drilled or slotted rotors, only looks. But they come with ss brake lines which will somewhat help.

Then DIY! fairly straight forward and will save a ton

Thanks for the input guys! I really appreciate it!

I tried looking for a kit on ECS' website but it won't let me use the search function, or allow me to look up my car. Maybe it's because I'm on the mobile site due to my phone.

However I did find this kit on 88Rotors.com Seems like a great price, and exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience with this kit, or 88 Rotors in general?

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Might want to check out some brake packages in the vendor section. We have a very popular StopTech Brake Package.
