water temperature 250F
Hey all,
I'm using my jb4 to highjack the fuel gauge to show water temp on these hot days in Houston and it's almost in the middle at 250f? Isn't this about 50f higher than normal?! Does it mean my WP is on ththe way out?! There don't seem to be any leaks. Thanks! |

250 is way too hot - it should have no problem keeping it under 220 even on hot days unless you are tracking the car - either your gauge hijack is not working (and if that is the case, temp is correct for the oil temp) or your water pump is on the way out - not sure what temp it has to get to before the orange overhead light comes on, but that should come on somewhere around there if it is that hot.

I did turn on the max cool feature on jb4 and it did bring the temps down.
Seems like my oil temp is fine and I wonder at what water temp the warning light comes on? |

It is very hard to tell because all of us that had our water pumps fail (basically everyone) got the yellow light and then almost instantaneously you get the red light and the shut your car off warning!

Looks normal for water temps. What got my attention is your miles to empty is it just me or does it look like you are getting 800 miles to a tank ?
