Waze app uses Bluetooth connection?
I notice that my Waze app will send audio through speakers over Bluetooth in my 07 E90. Anyone know why that works but Bluetooth audio requires a separate module install?

Agreed.....I can stream at will in wifey's 2011 E70, but am limited to IPod hookup in my E90. With Apple music, I need a solution!!

Music is streamed over the AD2P/AVRCP (control) profiles while phone calls are routed over the HFP profile, which can also be used for voice prompts.
There are ways to trick your phone into sending music through the HFP profile but its a mono stream and sound quality is very poor. You can get an adapter for the AUX port to stream music. They are pretty cheap and if you have USB, some even support AVRCP which allows you to control the phone through your head unit....Viseeo products. |
