Anyone having problems buying CA personalized plates?
I'm having issues. The dmv.ca.gov keeps saying the following when I try to pay for the plate:
"Unable to complete all of your transactions, please return to the shopping cart if you would like to provide another payment method for unpaid items." I've tried 5 different credit cards. |

I had the same problem. Wound up mailing my application form in with a check.

And then when it goes through they will reject whatever you picked 6 months later and keep your money. Happened to me twice now, fuck them, they're not getting me a third time.

Is it possible to walk into the DMV and paying for it on the spot? If they reject it, why do they keep the money? Is that the rule that if they reject your personalization, they keep the money? That sounds a bit fucked up.

I was able to complete it online; just received the plates last week. Took about 3 months

No, theyre supposed to refund it, but they never do. Even if you walk in and pay for it there they have some board made up of old women that goes through and approves or rejects based on a whim.
