Hey guys, I'm wondering how much I should expect to pay to install KW V1 coilovers. I got a quote for $300 from a Meineke. Is that a good price? Also, is there anything special to this install where I shouldn't trust a shop like that or is it pretty straight forward?
Thanks.

Personally, I would install them myself, they arent that difficult to do.
If I was paying someone, I wouldnt use a cookie cutter shop. At least take them to a known indy place around you. |

Shouldn't have to pay any more than $250..but $300 for a name brand shop is not bad actually. Just make sure they torque down everything properly and all the suspension components are preloaded..

Wow, thanks for the great responses guys. So, the tech at Meineke is a great mechanic that has been doing everything on ally cars for about 10 years now. I'm not too worried about him crewing up the install if its a pretty straight forward suspension installation.
I thought $300 was a good deal because I asked a vendor on this forum that quoted me $600. I live in CT, but am from the Rutgers East Brunswick area in NJ. I'll consider any good shops around either place. Thanks!

ACI Dynamix does it in seymour CT. They're the shop that does all the work on my car. I don't remember 100% but I believe it's $250 without and alignment and $300 with alignment. Give them a call or shoot them an email and tell them peter sent you

Yay for bringing back year old thread. Looking for install shop for some new V1s as well. Does meineke really do coils? If anyone knows an indy on Long Island that has a competitive price for install let me know. Thanks.

Gonna revive the thread again... Did you guys change your top mounts when installing new coilovers?
I'm at 90k-ish, would you think I would need to? |
