Ah, right, It's Montego Blue. Le Mans blue in some ways is even nicer than Montego blue but you only get LMB with M sport models. (I;ll get the hang of this yet

I wouldn't take the badge off. Some idiot will one day get a shock when he thinks the "d" part of the badge is more important than the "335".
Is that the genuine part or the Taiwanese one. If you had a picture over the boot I could have been able to tell bur from the edge and rear it does look the same. Did I mention it looked good... ![]() |

Picture a young car enthusiast spying your vehicle. He's not that well up on particular models but twigs that 2 exhaust pipes means a 6 cylinder BMW. The car looks gorgeous, he is impressed but if the badge was there - "gosh, a 335! I would only know it was a 335 because I have been looking at brochures for months and it is the only one with separate side exhausts.
In addition, there is always the smart-ass who would assume you'd added the one on the right side purely for show. As far as I can understand over the years that BMW have offered model designation deletion, it's main purpose is for those who have "lesser" vehicles to partly hide the fact from the great unwashed who wouldn't recognise any other way of sorting out what model a car was. And you can't want to remove the badge to make a "Q car" since one look at it tells you otherwise. Leave it on for just now - for a couple of months - and if you still want to ditch it get out the hairdryer and the extremely strong dental floss. |

I had some exhaust smell coming in through the vents so I popped the hooded to have a look around the engine.
While looking around I noticed that the smell was very intense around the turbos so I has a closer look with a flashlight and I noticed a lot of oil was leaking out around the turbo. I took it to the shop and they replaced the turbos. Now I am starting to smell some exhaust from time to time and I hear a lot of ticking noises around the turbo and the exhaust. BTW I have a 335d. |
