(Pictures on link below) Asking $175 for damaged/repairable Cic unit from a 2011 bmw 3 series that was equipped with combox telematics and 6nf (armrest usb/aux). Included is the faceplate as well. This is a working unit but the radio fakra smb plug is damaged. The unit works otherwise but will not get an am/fm radio signal until repaired. This plug can be replaced by a professional for a fully functioning cic head unit at a fraction of what others are selling for. The donor car vin # will be provided with the unit for possible coding purposes.

Does a fakra socket just solder onto the board as is, or is there something left of the old socket that comes out? It's kinda hard to tell what's what in the photo. I'm not sure how the connector was originally attached.

It may be possible to solder on leads and attach the socket remotely (to make the repair easier)?

I'm just trying to determine if it's something I can tackle.
