No problem I just remembered re the rear badge it was a fit of a sod fitting so where the 2 lugs go in to the boot on the badge itself from a little bit of glue was used on the 2 lugs so be careful, very careful when removing the badge would be my advice, worse case would be the badge comes off and where the 2 holes are in the boot you'll have the remains of the 2 plastic lugs still in place so to be safe be prepared to perhaps see this issue when the badge is removed and therefore a bit of careful extraction of the bits of plastic may be required to enable the new badge to fit back in (small very small drill bit would perhaps be the way forward if this take place to drill out the plastic remains I'd suggest)

Thanks Gang, re ever I do to be honest it's what I do if you follow me, when I sold cars I contacted customers outside of normal hours that way people knew who you were the old adage "people but from people" is how I see it next time they come to buy a car or they refer someone to you they know who they are dealing with and dare I say it the whole process was/is more relaxed. Basic stuff but it works and doesn't matter what you do the same applies. But the downside is it takes up your time hens what I've said re scaling back activity........... and here I am at 8.20 in the evening answering a post

what is next car wise?
Thanks mistryn, next car well a stop gap car will need to be purchased maybe a Golf GT TDI MK4 or something like that, then I move house, depending on where I move dictates what I buy but at the moment no idea

Steve, I hope you keep visiting this forum as your posts are very useful for others including myself.
Didn't think Sam to be honest I would struggle to get some interest in the car, I was right of course once it went up had a good few PM's so where required they were replied too, Dale's enquiry sort of stood out showed interest, when replied too the response showed genuine interest, he stuck with it was patient and the rest is history... He now owns the car and I dare I say will put his own mark on the car and I look forward to hearing/reading about developments as they progress but it's gone and I simply move on. I had my 4 years of fun with the car but you move on.

Re activity yes I'll hop on here from time to time might make the odd post and start the odd topic but that'll I suspect be about it as you know I dare say replying to PM's consumes a bit of time I don't mind replying but it's time my time and to be fair when you spend 10 hours a day breathing cars it gets a bit tiring hence the decision but yes I'll still keep 1 eye open

F30 post...er no

Re my car yes I miss it but things change dare say I'm/I've changed really. Having driven the F3X series I do like the cars they ride better than the E9X series IMO and its slightly more comfortable IMO too the one area I'm not so keen on though is the old steering the weight of the E9X series especially my old car was just about right had weight and feel, the F3X series overall to me steering wise is a little too vague/light but that's the way things seem to be moving and in time you adjust and get used to how these modern cars feel.

As for my next car I'm going to buy a runner nothing too special at all and I'm not going to spend a lot, then I move then I decide what car I buy and if the runners a good car then I keep that, I'm not a car tart and at my age honestly I don't actually need a nice car I can easily live without all I need is a comfortable serviceable mode of transport. Something like a MK4 Golf GT TDI or something like that would do nothing too expensive as it will do the job and do a decent return re fuel as long as its mechanically sound and tidy then I'm happy.

But re looking after your car Alan not an issue we appreciate it when someone comes from afar

Know what you mean about the modern cars and getting used to them Steve. Took me a year to really get into my f10, much preferred my e46 which preceeded it.
