Just wanted to post a quick review of my diesel-fueled bliss over the past week. Visited JR Auto 2 weeks ago to talk about tunes and go over what is involved vs. where I plan to go with the car in the long haul. Jarek is very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with (though there wasn't much surprise, nor doubt about that, there).
Fast forward to today - I've been driving around with his stage 2 tune for a week and couldn't be happier with the $$ spent! Does the car ever feel transformed. I took off in DS at a light and she even chirped the tires when shifted into 2nd (all season tires that are on their last leg, but I digress). If you ever thought the car lacked in passing power (not sure I ever questioned it), all doubts are erased now... The increase in power from 2500-redline is staggering. You can achieve 'get-your-car-impounded' speeds all too easily now. Driveability is otherwise unaffected - city stop-go is as good as it ever was. To anyone considering tuning their car: just do it. You won't miss the cash for long ![]() PS - something that's rarely talked about in forums is what some refer-to as 'stage 0'. Make sure everything is in tip-top shape before you start throwing more power at it! Filters, fluids, susp/alignment... |

I've got some slightly stickier pads... won't need to revisit this until I get enough of a raise that track days become plausible again haha. Big brakes have always proven to be among the best mods I've done in the past.

Awesome!! I have about 5,000 miles on mine since being tuned. The look on other drivers faces is priceless when you pull on them. 40 mpg doesn't hurt either

I've put approximately 1800 miles on my JR 2.5 tune in the past 3 weeks. Simply awesome....no codes, amazing power when you want it, smooth interstate cruising, and from 65 to 110 faster than an 04 Mach 1 (tested). All with a 3-4 mpg gain from pre-tune.
I agree on the Stop tech & Hawk combo....that's the direction I'll be going. Enjoy your tune. |

I have had JR's Stage 2 with deletes since last July and about 6k miles. I agree it is a great tune. Finally installed my exhaust recently (SCR cat was still in place) and now my d really flies. Thanks to Jarek, Jess, Dave and all the help from other members on here. Enjoy!

Awesome job Jarek. After cbu cleaning and JR stage 2 the car is a monster. Amazing acceleration from 0-60mph and on higher speeds. It is true the car wants to burn the tires on 2nd gear. Finally I don't have to worry about SES. I will have to do adaptation with the new settings but still can't brake Ista d (no connection to the car)

I have not done it yet. I am still waiting for ICOM adapter (China). I spoke with Jarek and he is going to help me with that so you should contact to him if you need to do this earlier. I will keep you informed. So far the only SES I had were from disconnecting the fuel lines what created low pressure on injectors.
