that is pretty jacked then, cause clearly in the picture it is the index 12 part no. False advertisement then, I don't see a disclaimer that says "photo may differ from actual product"

could be worth emailing them about....

this is the ECS part no. to search by for those interested : ES#2804983

Refer to my posts... I've ordered twice from ECS (3 injectors last week, 3 this week) and both times received the pictured (12 index) injectors.

Going to revive this thread. I need to replace my injectors apparently, anyone know a good place to get a good deal on them or what aftermarket options are out there?

Will any of these work? I have a 2008 335i coupe.

Here are some for $150.

A lot of those ebay ones were from China and/or not index 12. I wouldn't trust them.

Make sure you also get decouplers. They don't come with them.

Thanks for the link. I know the OEM injectors need to be coded, do these aftermarket ones require any specialized coding that would differ from the OEM ones to make them work properly with our cars?

Thanks.

I think there's only one manufacturer of the injectors and they are just branded by different companies. I could be wrong though. But to answer your question, you just follow the same process you would if you bought the injectors from your local dealership.

Anyone care to elaborate on why new decouplers need to be bought ?

I bought a new set when i changed the injectors on my old car but when swapping them could see absolutely no reason as to why the new ones were needed or that there was any problem or deformity with the old ones vs new, both old and new, were identical and there was no obvious reason as to why new ones were needed.

So why is it so ?

I think because BMW tech docs recommend it, but they are cheap, so why not, given that you replace injectors every 50-100K and the consequence of one not working right is pretty high? The FCP Euro set comes with them.
