Finally I have got my duff hole welded and a threaded boss cut down to size and welded in too, pretty sure my temporary fix didn't really hold boost and water was weeping from the nozzle recently too.
The same guy who did my exhaust did the small task, highly recommended for all of your custom fab needs if you are happy to travel to the Buckingshire area! |

Ah ha yes as my previous hole was near the top rubber pipe I removed the metal band in order to do the aluminium welding. It's a mikalor clamp, possibly a bit overkill but they are strong and reliable.

Is there any reason why you can't use a port in a EGR delete? I realize it's after the throttle body valve thing, but my understanding is that it never closes once you are tuned (deleting EGR)...
