Towbar issues! A little help needed…
I’m after a little help, I was using the socket in the boot during the weekend and thought I’d test the tow bar out as I’ve not used it.
Fail! The thing didn’t do anything apart from flash read. I thought nothing of it but when I went to use the car later got the bongs of expense!! Its coming up with a locking error but the tow bar is still firmly back under the rear of the car. The bongs were starting to annoy me so I’ve pulled a couple of fuses related to the towbar. I cross checked the numbers and they don’t seem to relate to anything else and its seemingly stopped the issue but I haven’t actually driven anywhere yet as I decided to do it in the work car park a minute ago. So I’d like to ask a favor of my fellow E90/91 owners, for those without a tow bar do you have any fuses in the 30 and 31 positions(I pulled two large Green 30 fuses)? If someone could check I would appreciate it!! |

So those fuses threw a different error which was nice!!
Anyway as a last resort i tried a few things with the button one being hold it down for as long as possible until it reset or something.... Success after 10 seconds or so the bloody thing popped out, pulled out locked in and returned back error free. What a muppet it was basically user error |
