Ie the B5 RS4 given the same hp/tq curve (lets ignore the bespoke minor engine differences) is at least .2sec consistently faster due to 1.32 vs 1.23 gear ratio. This is where the origin of the B6/7 S4 "3rd gear" warp speed jokes came from. Validated Vbox is a MUCH better tool for comparison sake and takes into account gradient

Thanks for the input.
Although 15 years old this benchmark is pretty simple to use and MHD logging is all you need ($69 US) if you don't already have it. It's intended as a bit of fun and to help more N54/N55 owners participate. VD sounds good, so maybe another seperate post for Aus VD comparisons? (hopefully this post doesn't end up in chlamydia google searches, lol) VTL and Brads feel manual and auto are pretty similar, however they can easily be split into seperate manual/steptronic on the summary post if anyone can calculate the final drive numbers to be different? How many owners are going to purchase a Vbox ($545) for a bit more accuracy? Happy to include them on the summary page, so post up the vbox verified times for 3rd gear, 4,200rpm to 6,500 if you have them I have updated the first post photos which explains in more detail how to pull the numbers from MHD and into the FATS calculator.

Year - 2008 Model - 335i Chasis - E90 Trans - Steptronic Flywheel - N/A Diff - OEM Engine - N54 Block - OEM Turbo's - OEM 21.8psi Inlets - OEM Outlets - OEM Tune - MHD Wedge Custom Fuel - E60 Supplementary Fuelling - N/A LPFP - Fuel it Stage 2 Spark Plugs - OEM Meth - N/A DP's - OEM Exhaust - OEM - flap open Diverter's / BOV - OEM intercooler - OEM Charge Pipe - OEM Air Intake - OEM - K&N drop in Rear tyre - 245/35/18 Temp F - 59F Datazap log - Datazap Link Last dyno - N/A Other - Car had approx 137,00km, just had walnut blast and upgraded subframe bushing installed. Rear was moving around a lot prior at this power level. Rear tyres were a funky size 245/35/18 Michelin PSS with approx 25% tread which were free from the tyre shop when fitting some new PSS on the front and much better than the run flats. Also road was a bit up and down which may have helped the time, so I will not include on the summary post. Not sure how much these two factors helped the time. Turbo WGD reached as high as 93.5% and IAT 115f so pretty close to DME timing pull. With stock intercooler only one WOT gear at a time. Ideally I would have liked to upgrade intercooler sooner however so many other parts were falling apart, water pump, oil filter housing gasket, vanos solenoids, boost solenoids, alternator, battery, radiator, radiator hoses, LPFP sensor... In summary lots of OEM parts, E60 and custom tune. Will try to post another run when I can with RB inlets, outlets, AFE intake, intercooler, 265/35/18 rear tyres however may have injector issues to sort first, experiencing intermittent knock under heavy load with black smoke (unburnt fuel). Completely disappeared after Liqui Moly injector cleaner however has returned. Always something with these cars.
