Mann provent 200

Hi,

I did notice that Sukutash has installed the Mann provent 200 for the BMW 335D.I am getting my turbo lines fixed & wanted to get Mann provent 200 installed in .
Suktash I see that you are based out of atlanta,ga.
Is there any way I can get in touch since I live in atlanta , I would lile to review the stuff & have the local BMW shop install it for me.
Any help will be much appreciated

Thanks
Andy

Has anyone been able to mount it in the spot next to the block on the drivers side behind the engine mount? It seems it may work, but I can't confirm until my provent shows up...

Not enough room for the provent there, however it worked for my 5 micron fuel filter. Just a FYI, if you need some 1" fuel rated hose for the provent, I found that farm supply stores sell a fuel tank hose with fittings crimped on the end in different lengths. I picked up a 12' hose for about $40 and just cut the lengths I needed out of it.

I can't get this to fit without taking off the plastic cowl/tray...is this correct? I don't know if driving or parking in the rain is a good idea with it removed but this provent is pretty big and I can't get it to mount any other way.

I've had my cowl/cabin air filter tray off my vehicle for about 3-4 years now. No issues whatsoever. Just put BMS filters in place of the factory cabin air filter. I really cannot answer if the provent will fit with the filter cowling in because I have never attempted to reinstall after the provent.

How bad was it to remove the coils? I'm due for a cabin filter change, but I may do the BMS filters as well esp. since its not more than a cabin filter price wise. Do you get better engine sound with the coils removed?

Not sure how much of the normal E90 cowl is in your way. Here is a way to have a cowl on but have more room. First link is my setup. @nd link is whole thread that has part numbers. It would depend how far toward the central firewall you need the Provent to be located though. This is the M3 cowl conversion. Its not hard at all. I've seen some of these parts in the salvage yard lately too. Only paarts that didn't look usable where the top air filter housings. No big deal to get what you can from salvage and then buy new what you can't in good shape. The cable trays shown on the front are strictly an overseas order item though. Can't buy from anyone in North America and parts do not come OEM on M3s in North America. Obviously, you don't need the trays. Many just tie wrap the electrical cables to the strut bars.

Can you snap a picture of your Provent installation without cowl on? This will give me an idea of where and how big it is. I've wanted to upgrade my catch can to one of these but always got distracted on other projects. thanks

how big of a piece of metal would you need to make the plate? looking at the picture I called the hose elbow 1" and made the hose elbow about the size of my highly calibrated thumb.... would 4x7 cover the opening????
