W Denver Area: Need working DCAN cable to test
I have been banging my head against a wall trying to get my XP laptop talking to my '11 e92 since I bought it in September. I've wiped and reloaded and re-installed INPA + EDIABAS + NCSExpert, etc. Even loaded the cable drivers from the mfr website. (followed excellent instructions here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1204192)
I've reached the point where the cable lights up when trying to initiate communication using INPA or NCSExpert, but gives me initialization and unable to communicate errors. Trying to jumper pin 7&8 makes no difference. Which all leads me to believe I have a bad cable. Soooooooo, long story long, is there anyone in the west Denver area that has a working cable I can test with before I go out and buy another? I'm at my wits end! Thanks in advance! My cable looks exactly like this (with a white board): ![]() |
