Exclamation AA xede? dealer safe?

So, I was just chatting with someone over at AA, he said its completely safe to leave the xede in when bought to the dealer. I was like you sure? He said, yeah no problem.

So, how many of you guys remove or just leave it in.....?

I mean I'll have a place install it but if I have to keep removing it for dealer visits, then I rather go with something a little simpler like SSTT..

Let me know guys,

I know I know, let me get them out of your system for now,

Ok, tune in.

you should remove it when youre trying to claim something warranty related... if youre just going in for cosmetic stuff like the body shop ... or some other sort of minor repair that doesnt concern your engine bay, i think youre pretty safe... they wont say much unless you try to claim something from them.

gotcha -- I asked him if I could just remove the "xede box" like unplug the wire and reclose the ecu compartment and he said that works too...

Dinan is the only thing safe. I'd remove it. It's not worth 5 years of no warranty to save 20 min to uninstall.

remember
there's a ground wire that comes out of the box

if they see that for any kind of engine problems you took your car in for
things WILL get ugly

Hello,

Unless you have a very close relationship with your dealer, ( i mean close) and will not care if you have an aftermarket piggy back system installed. I would highly recommend removing it.

Better safe then sorry. (have it uninstalled and reinstalled correctly of course)

Remember that the boost lines are by-passed as well.

Somebody here removed their piggyback and forgot to put the tubes back to stock. The dealer was just doing an oil change, but they hook up their computor to the OBD2 port and it threw a code.

They know that the only reason that the lines are by-passed is due to piggybacks.
