Best price in the UK?
What sort of discounts are buyers getting in the UK. I just ordered a 320i SE in jet black, the only option being black Dakota leather. Found a deal on the internet which offered £2084 discount. I used this to negotiate deal with local BMW dealer and ended up with £1652 discount, the dealer said that was the best he could do as it left him with just 1% mark-up for moving it through the showroom. Total price paid £22693 on the road. Anyone done better than this?

Had a look at the link, the UK supplied price is more than I paid, the Germany supplied price is cheaper but the prices don't appear to include the April price increase which would make it only a couple of hundred pounds cheaper with a much longer lead time. Guess I got a pretty reasonable deal

I took the What Car Target price, to get around £1700 off my 325 SE. But they were not impressed with my 18 year old E30 as a part exchange. Swings and roundabouts. Leather, Alloys, Sports suspension, Maintenance etc added up the price again.

Well I got the full dealer margin off mine last week as they are getting incentives for meeting their numbers at this time of year.
And got a good deal on the trade in too I think so hoping for my car (330d SE Auto Mystic and beige leather) this weekend... |

I got £1950 off my 320i SE with the following options:
Metallic paint, Elec folding exterior mirrors, Lumbar support, Navigation Professional, Voice Control, Bluetooth phone prep, Floor Mats, Tracker Monitor. Did anyone get the RTI Insurance?

We got a 7.5% discount off our E91 320d SE (including extras) in October. We tried a number of dealers within 50 miles and only one was forthcoming with a discount (5%).
The others just tried the usual "we can't give discounts on a new model sir." In the end we went through a internet company who negotiated with a dealer direct. As ours was a company car purchase they also shaved thousands off the finance that BMW quoted us. |

I think that some dealers will offer differing discounts according to how you finance the car as well.

Hi Marmite,
If your car is stolen or declared an insurance write-off "Return to Invoice Insurance" (hence RTI) will refund to you the difference between what you paid for the car and your insurers depreciated valuation. So to give you an example. Say you paid £20,000 for your car and it was written off in an accident after 2 years. The insurance company will give you the market value of the car at the time of the accident. Lets say the insurance company give you £15,000 for your car. What RTI Insurance will do is pay you £5000 to bring you back up to the original £20,000 you paid for the car. I did get RTI insurance and the policy lasts for 3 years. You hope you never need it but if you do its always good to know that you will have the same money you paid originally to go out and get another car!
