Self Leveling Not working
Just installed my aftermarket shocks and springs, however at the part of the diy where it tells me to take off the self leveling lever, I couldn't locate it. Therefore I just went along with the DIY. However the next day and following, I noticed that the self leveling HIDs arent working anymore at start up. I think I must've bent part of the lever or something. Do you guys know anybody else with the problem or know what I should do next?

Hi, I just installed H&Rs this past weekend and had a similar result, only my headlights were pointing up. I did detach the leveling sensor during install (looks like two small arms that pivot and are attached to a small black box on the front driver's side control arm). In my case, I think the bump stops weren't trimmed enough and the suspension was resting on them, therefore pushing the control arm down a bit and the leveling sensor as well. Push the sensor down a little, the lights point up a little. Cut my bump stops and problem fixed. In your case, if it's not working at all, you likely damaged or broke it. Take off the front driver's side wheel to check the condition. FYI the metal part of the arm does have a slight bend to it already with a small crimp at the top and bottom, so don't let that trick you into thinking it's damaged.

Hi guys,
It looks like my leveling sensor is broken, do you know if this is an easy fix for me to do myself or should i just take it into the dealership. They want to charge $80 which isn't much but if it's easy to do myself i don't mind trying. I've been looking for a DIY but i can't seem to find one. Do you guys know what the part number is and where is a good place to purchase this part at? I attached a pic of how it looks. I don't know if i need a new lever or just a new clip. Hopefully you guys can help shed some light. Thanks |

Still havent, im trying to go to different dealers to try to fix it under warranty. I think it most likely is the sensor or motor broken.

I ask the questions you're afraid to ask.
