I've worked with quite a few PMs, and I don't think what they do is a joke. However, if a company were in the midst of laying off non-essential personnel, I would certainly not be surprised if PMs were one the first ones to get the axe.

In my experience, only a few of them add any real value to a project by simply being able to pull their own weight. Sadly, the rest of the PMs I had a displeasure of working with weren't very helpful at all, but they sure enjoyed taking credit for all the work they didn't do.

OP, I don't think you used every study tool at your disposal. There are great training videos such as the one I've attached here below. Good luck on your next effort and really pay attention to this guy. It looks like he has it completely down.

You stated it's an easy job that containins no technical skills...and that you could pass the test first time without issue. I'm not biased, I can only assume you're the all knowing one that every company wants to hire.

I directed a group of 48 techs and engineers before moving. You are what we called the unicorn. Wish I could have hired someone with your expertise...would have paid out the wazoo for someone like you.
