Code Out Key Not in Ignition?
Hi, new to E90Post, but not to the chassis
I was wondering if there is a way to code out the "key with slash" check control warning. I'm trying to experiment with a budget comfort access, but when you remove the key from the ignition switch with the car on, you get the key w/ slash warning. I'm familiar with most of the coding and modules with the e90. Just can't find this one

You can start car with key in ignition, shut car down, remove key, then start it back up within 10 seconds (may be shorter or longer) and it will start without key in ignition.
Can't remember if that will yield the same result as you described. |

Thanks for the replies. So what I'm trying to suppress is CC-ID 66 - Remote Control/Key Fault
My goal is to have a "free" comfort access. I purposely broke the locks on my key slot so I can freely remove my key. Now I can start the car just fine, and when needed, remove the key, walk out and lock the car. All while the engine is running. Problem is, when you remove the key, you get the warning, and after trying to ignore the warning by pressing the BC button, it'll come back.
