Hardware included with BMW Performance Suspension
Hi All, I got my Performance Suspension in the mail and it comes with a lot of nuts. I'm not sure which is which. I'm sure I can just pay attention when I pull the old parts off but I'd like to know where I'm at before I start the process.
Got it (mostly) figured out with some help. The bigass nylon locking nuts were not used. Seemed like there could have been two more of nut D included in the set. A: No idea, was unused and nothing was like it B: Strut Pinch Bolt (thanks BigInBoca) C: Strut top nut - strut to strut mount "self locking nut" 31336764470 D: Lower shock nut 33506784003 E: Strut Mount to chassis nuts F: Sway Bar Bushing Mount nuts

A is top of strut nut.
B looks like something that would connect to the king pin. It will be very apparent when you replace these parts. Just match them up as you go along. Looks like you'll have plenty of hardware. |

If memory serves what you have noted looks correct except:
A = Front Control Arm to Knuckle B = Possibly for the Pinch Bolt on the front knuckle for the strut, or the front swaybar end link. I can’t remember this one. F = Front Swaybar to Subframe No need to sweat it though, when you go through it you will be able to figure it all out as mentioned above. Last edited by Biginboca; 04-04-2018 at 05:04 AM.. |

why don't you just match them up as you take the old ones off?

Actually, after installing the kit, I have no idea what nuts A are for. They are not control arm bushing nuts. I didn't see anything else like them. There were also several identical bolts to D that I feel like should have been in the hardware but were not.
