Hello Bimmer Friends,

I have a 09 BMW 335i E93 and I need to replace the front bumper. It seems like most of the bumpers sold online came primed but not painted. I finally found one that is painted with the part number BM1000179 which is for 06-08 335i. Another one I found (not painted) is BM1000189 for 07-10 model. They look identical to me but just in case, I'd like to know if anyone knows for sure that they are the same or not. I appreciate your insight!

Btw, where do you guys buy bumpers from?

Judging from the picture you have in your profile, you have a pre Lci e93 so you will need the earlier model bumper for an e92(coupe)/e93(convertible). Pre Lci e90(sedan) were produced 06-08, Lci e90(sedan) were produced 09-11. E92/e93 pre Lci was 07-10 and Lci models were 10-early 13.

No, when you see 06-08 that’s a pre Lci e90 (SEDAN) year gap. Parts for your e93 will be 07-10. The correct factory part number for a non m sport e92/e93 front bumper is 51 11 7 181 308.
