303?

I read in quite a few posts about people using 303 inside the car to clean etc. Since I leave the top down in my 'vert, there is a lot more dust etc than I like. So I headed over to the local auto shops (Kragen & pep boys); and all I found was one 303 which said it was for cleaning vinyl top of convertibles. Is that the one that people refer to here? if not, then what kind of 303 am I looking for and where do I find it?

Most all people use the 303 for rubber and plastic dressing. I am not sure what you are talking about, but the 303 I use it not a cleaner. I know that they make other products, but I personal have never looked for them or seen them.

Try to list the type of frabic or the part of the car you are trying to clean and it might help us--help you.

The product you are looking for is 303 Aerospace Protectant. The product you probably see in stores is 303 Convertible Top Cleaner.

If you have any other questions about the 303 line or anything else detailing related, please do not hesitate to ask.

My fiancee is currently shopping for a soft top convertible. One of the biggest concerns I have is that I see all these faded soft tops on the road in ~6 yr old cars.

If properly maintained, should they continue to look as new as the first day?

What products should I get?
1) 303 Convertible Top cleaner to clean it?
2) Do I need a product to treat it / protect it like 303 Aerospace Protectant does for the vinyl/rubber? Can 303 Aerospace be used for that purpose to treat soft tops?

Edit:
3) Just browsed Detailed Image's product catalog....looks like 303 High Tech Fabric Guard is what I need?

Thanks,
orionredwing

You got it. When properly maintained, your top will look like new significantly longer. If your top is canvas, then yes, you'd want the 303 High Tech Fabric Guard, if vinyl, then you'd want to use the 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

George
