White lights
hi
i have a E90 2008 (318D ES) registration. it has the default halogen yellowish lights. I need suggestion on white lights? does it have to be Xenon? I don't know how easy it is to upgrade to Xenon. I tried google search couldn't get any useful information thanks |

HIDs and LEDs are both doable but this:

Also, remember with our cars it's not as simple as just swopping out the bulbs if you go down the LED or HID route, you'll either need a kit specifically designed to work with the system BMW uses or have to do some coding. Not exactly linked to your question but, as an example, here's what I had to do when swopping our the halogen Angel Eyes for HIDs http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16333 |

Today's LED can actually be up to 2X brighter then HID, pretty cool. We can't post links here but check out the vendor classifieds of the forums or popular vendors sites ![]() Actually with the right LED kit it has the same beam pattern as Halogen. Although I know where you are coming from on this remark, technology does improve quite often. Of course picking the right LED upgrade is important and I want to make that clear. Not all LED options are created = |
