No low end power
Hi everyone, I am having an issue, and could use your help. I have been searching for hours. The answers are probably posted somewhere, but my lack of vocabulary on the subject is causing me to come up empty, or partially so.
2008 335XI, AFE DCI, Wagner FMIC, Cobb Stage 1+ FMIC. I installed a new charge pipe and TIAL BOV tonight. I also tapped the intake, and ran a new 1/4 inch vacuum line. Install was straight forward. Buttoned it up, and went for a test drive. I have very low power from idle to about 3000 rpm, give or take. The engine sounds bogged down. Once I hit the higher RPM, the car takes off like a rocket, and feels great. I am thinking vacuum leak, or soft spring? Is there something more that I should be looking for? Will a vacuum leak or soft spring cause this issue? Your help and direction is greatly appreciated! |

How was the installation of the charge pipe straight forward, that shit is so hard to get in but anyway, yesterday I had the silly power loss and then limp mode, in my case charge pipe got disconnected but again, I had no power in higher rpms and lower were low power but anyway, I would say check your connections, if you have the same connections for the charge pipe I know connecting it to the intercooler is a challenge, looks good, clip snaps but the pipe is not inserted properly and you will have a leak there or as in my case it will come off

sounds like a boost leak. i would recheck your connections especially the one from the charge pipe to the intercooler piping. also i would check the spring on the bov, some times they have a lower boost spring installed with the one they ship
