^^ I figured it might be single stage paint. I've seen that color on other classic Vettes, so I'm assuming it's an original color. When someone with a classic car gets a repaint, even if they use a vintage color, they clear coat it? Wouldn't the original have been single stage?

Just wondering. My brother has a 68 Vette with numbers matching, and he went out of his way with a specialist to get it painted to match the original process. I figured that would mean single stage, but that was before I knew the difference.

Not sure about the original paint used on this car, but I detailed a barracuda 3-4 years ago which still had original paint. It was single stage laquer. I don't think paint shops use laquer anymore. I remember having to trash a few pads because of the, gumming up.

Came out nice though.
