Depo V3 F30-style Angel Eye Headlights
After eyeing multiple different sets of headlights, I decided to finally pull the trigger on these headlights. All I can say is, WOW. I tried searching on forums if anyone had these headlights, and I noticed that people only have the previous gen, Depo V2 headlights, so I figured I would be a guinea pig for you guys. The headlights were purchased through eBay by seller fishcake which included all of the bulbs pre-installed. While waiting for the headlights, I also went ahead and ordered a pair of LED H7's from Amazon to replace the standard H7's with to have a perfect color match to the Angel Eyes. After the first day with them, I am very pleased with them, and at night they look very close to the newer F3x series with their HID/Adaptive lights. If there's something that surprised me the most about these headlights, its how sharp the cutoff is for the projectors. Output compared to my standard Halogens is DEFINITELY an improvement. Obviously they won't compare to the OEM HID Adaptive lights, but for us peeps with halogens, this is definitely an improvement in terms of light output. I will update this thread in about a week to see if any fogging/misting develops. Hope y'all enjoy!!

Update:
So far it’s been exactly 2 weeks since the headlights have been installed, and I’m still very happy with the way they look. Happy to say that after 2 weeks of nothing but heavy thunderstorms, no fogging or misting occurred at all in the headlights. I found that surprising since I didn’t add any layer of sealant or anything. HOWEVER, something I found with these headlights is with the vertical headlight adjusters is that they are made of plastic and can break really easily. My left headlight adjuster just freely spins now with no movement of the headlight beam, and sadly it isn’t covered by warranty. Just a heads up for anyone looking at these. Overall, I’m thoroughly pleased with them over my old halogens. |
