SES Light P0101 Code

I recently got a SES light for P0101 MAF Circuit Range/Performance on my 335d and would like to diagnose it myself without having to go to the dealership. I've heard of several causes of this problem including bad MAF sensors, vacuum leaks, and even the dreaded CBU. Do you have any suggestions on how to diagnose this problem?

Change out the MAF, it less than $30 on FCP Euro (Genuine BMW)
