Do you chew with your mouth open?
It's a pet peeve of mine when someone is chompin away with their mouth open. I learned how to chew with my mouth closed when I was about 5 or 6. There's a person right next to me smackin their lips together right now and it reminded me of this, so I figured why not ask?

i never chew with my mouth open. i really dont care what others do, as long as i dont have the unpleasant sight of seeing their food in their mouth, or hearing their lips smacking together or anything of the sort...

i FUCKING hate it! It is not that difficult to swallow your food and then talk. Oh my god, it is SO irritating. If i have the courtesy to not talk while i am chewing food, you should give me the same courtesy. I don't know why i find it so unbelivably aggravating, i have always gotten a cringe in my spine and the temptation to say "STFU SHOW SOME MANORS YOU FUCKING BARBARIAN".But that was only a few times when the person was sitting at my table and had so much food in their mouths that you couldnt even understand what they were saying.
Kk i am calm now. So bye |

man...when I saw the title of this thread, it really struck a cord.
a guy who worked for me did this. it was so annoying...even spoke while chewing his food and would end up spitting bits out of his mouth. and this was a white collar dude, that was into "fine dining" with his fiance. to top it off...his personality was totally annoying. i had to contain my excitment when he told me he was leaving the job. |

It shows a lack of manners as well. A co-worker slurps his soup when they order chinese food. It is fucking annoying and I classify slurping and mouth wide-open chewing one in the same. |

I think it's actually a good thing in China to slurp your soup...at least I think it is.

It's one thing to be in an asian restaurant and do it where it would be deemed acceptable. But while at your desk it's absolutely mind-numbingly annoying. |
