Car has a straight through exhaust (no cats + no back box), K&N filter and a ecotune remap. Was running 180hp before the remap (177hp stock) and it's currently sitting at 228hp.

Possible performance mods include a removal of DPF and installing a larger intercooler but will see as not sure how long I'm looking to keep the car for.

Cheers.

Nice. Car must feel pokey enough with that bhp. Have you managed to record any 0-60 times with it or anything? I'd be interested to know what this car is capable of because I have a 320d as well and while I do love it I have found its performance underwhelming at times.

More updates on the car. Pick it up from the mechanic and I'm very happy as car drives smoothly. Unfortunately I came to more problems which I will be sorting out as soon as possible. As I only had left the car for 2 days, mechanic never managed to replace my braided brake lines, glow plugs and rear ball joint mount bush. On good side, I also had belt tensioner and water pump replaced as we found out they need doing and while we had the belt off it was a good idea to replace them.

Old radiator has been in very bad state so glad it had been replaced. The area also gathered loads of gunk which has been cleaned out.

new vs old belt:

Replaced nearside rear top shock mount with the upgraded monroe rubber mounts. Only replaced one side as unfortunately I snapped off the nut at top of the shock mount at offside so will need to replace the whole shock absorber.

New water deflector under the car as old one snapped off:

Cleaned out my K&N filter:

Also fitted my wheels with new narrower tyres. I do like how they look on the car.

A fair amount of work have went into her again and annoyingly I still have a few things to work on so she could be mechanically perfect. Main focus for now is to replace tracking rod ends as I couldn't have my tracking adjusted as the bolts were stuck so the whole ends needs replacing.
So what has been replaced:
- Cabin filter
- BMW brake fluid
- Radiator
- Water pump
- Drive belt
- Belt tensioner
- Front drop links
- Front control arm bushings
- Rear upper wishbone control arm
- Wind/water deflector which sits under the car
- Monroe top mounting kit only nearside

What I still need to replace:
- Track rod ends
- Hand brake shoes
- Steel braided brake lines
- Rear ball joint mount bush
- Offside shock absorber
- Monroe top mounting kit offside

I think the performance is brilliant. 0-60 times I get are about 6.0-6.5 sec. Remap totally changed the car. I will also advise making sure car is mechanically sound as that makes a big difference too.

More updates will be coming at some point. Thanks!

It's been a while. I have been busy so didn't really had time to post updates on the car. There is few things I have done in the mean time.

To start with, I replaced few parts on the suspension:
New bilstein rear shock absorber as the nut was stock on the old one:

New upgraded monroe rear top shock mount with the rubber mounts.
New vs old:

Replaced the rear ball joint mount bush:

Replaced the rear brake caliper pins:

Also started replacing my braided brake lines:

And lastly, I finally finished the progress of re-dying my interior to coral red! It came out really nice. The seats look like new and they freshen up the interior. They will look even better once I apply leather cream. More photos to come.

More updates to come.

The car is for sale. I will post photos soon as I’m just preparing the car. I might be willing to sell the mods on the car. Anyone interested please let me know.

Old car Vs new car.

The New car is a E93 320D.
Old one is for sale.
More photos soon once I wash the car. Looking for £5k. Is that priced reasonably right ? Has 125k miles but it has loads of parts on it and in good condition.

Thanks!

Are braided brake-lines not cool anymore? What did you replace them with?

Only replaced one line. Never got round to do the rest. It was done by a mechanic so won’t be able to tell you how it was done.

I'm just wondering why. I thought braided brake lines was the best thing. Are those some new better type of brake lines?
