Slow 2nd gear shift jerking

So I'm working through the 100,000 mile service list (DIY all the things) and replaced the coils. Now the car is jumpy and jerky in TRAFFIC during 1st - 2nd gear changes!
+I've driven manual cars my whole life and it's my second 335i. Anyone experience this after changing ignition parts??
My next project is the intake walnut blast... maybe its really bad.

Sounds more like a transmission issue. I have the same kind of 2nd-3rd jerky shift. I am doing fuild change, new pan, all associated gaskets (Mechatronics sleeve, 4 interior seals and the figure 8 gasket above the mechatronics) plus new solenoids.

This is on a manual transmission? The only thing I can think of is the CDV.

Manual yes. It could very easily be the CDV. Why didn't I think of that. I've seen threads on here about those but it was like 3 years ago. Is that the stupid thing that protects the clutch if you suck at driving??

It's not the transmission. No way. The gears shift perfectly when driven fast. This issue only occurs in traffic at slow speeds; almost like the engine is cuts out, gases again, cuts out, then gases again. It only happens below 30 mph.

I don't have a MT so I don't know how the CDV behaves but it seems like people have issues with it. What if you give it a good amount of gas but shift early does it still have the issue? Almost sounds like traction control is kicking in or something. Do you have stock size tires? Maybe try driving with DTC turned off see what that does?

On a good note it shifts great, when racing a mustang GT, commuting to work
Kept up with him too. It could be user error as I have another vehicle with a bad clutch. I'm going to swap out the CDV when I work on my exhaust.
