5mm spacer question

In looking at **********s, the 5mm h&r spacer does not come with extended lug bolts. Do 5mm spacers need the extended bols, or are they compatible with OEM bolts?

You'd need a 35mm bolt to be on the safe side...

Are you sure? I'm looking at it right now, and it says we do. It's for the E90 right?

I will echo what Don said and recommend running longer bolts as well.

Yep. Even though you can probably get away with using the OEM lug bolts since it's only 5MM, it's more safer if you go with the extended ones. That's what I did. I'm currently on 5mm spacers and extended bolts from **********s. 2nd set of spacers from them.

AJ - No such thing as "only 5mm". I have longer bolts, 5mm's is 5mm's, you need those extra few mm's to be safe.

I'm just saying this because I ran 3mm spacers on my old Evo, to clear the coilover spring due to negative camber. I used the regular OEM nuts and after hard driving for 6-7 months, it was still fine. Torqued it down to 75ish ft lb/torque like normal.

Increase the length of the bolts by the increase thickness of the spacer. Ideally, you want 6 to 7 threads turned into the hub. Too few secured threads and they may fail, too many and they may hit components.
