So I had the issue for months where I would plug in my aux to my phone and music would play with a horrible static noise, I finally figured out a way to get rid of that!

I went to Walmart and bought this Bluetooth USB adapter, works like a charm. It comes with a duel sides aux but it won't fit when you try to close the middle console, pretty much you plug in the usb to the Bluetooth device then run the aux cord from the Bluetooth to your aux input and bam connect your phone via Bluetooth and no static! Crystal clear music!

So basically, it was as people were saying...it was your cable. Tune2Air is a nicer option, imho.
