Newbie With ST Coilover Question
Hi all. I recently purchased (3 months ago) my first BMW, a 2011 335ix. I had a PPI completed prior to purchase and was told there appears to be a small amount of fluid around the rear strut but a leak couldn't be found. Fast forward to now, I was browsing an auction website and came across a set of 4 ST coilovers but I'm unsure if they'll fit my car. They are model 90232, which appears to fit E90 335i N55 cars but doesn't mention the IX.
Does anyone know if these would fit my car? What are the main differences in the i/ix suspensions (assuming year, body type, and engine are all the same)? I'm not in dire need of a replacement, was just hoping to pick these up for cheap and hang on to them. Thanks! |

While the rear end design is the same between Xdrive and RWD E9X cars, the front end design is entirely different. RWD front coilovers will not fit in the front of an Xdrive car. The front end suspension design is entirely different.
IIRC ST makes both Xdrive and RWD version of their E9X coilovers, google some pictures of both to see the difference between the designs.
