hey cali peeps! sooo its about that time for smog and im still modded. any suggestions?

I'm due for smog too, I'll have to put stock air box back. I have CP and BOV installed too, pain in the ass to take those off.

When i got my smog done the person didnt care that i had a chargepipe and forge dvs so maybe u can get lucky

Buy a Down pipe fix, drive around 150 miles or so until all the sensors say ready. Find a place who doesn't care about your intake or put you stock box on and you'll pass. Those are steps I took. Just remember to drive until all your sensors reset.

I just threw my stock DP's and air box back on and made sure my sensors were ready. Didn't feel like taking a chance with intakes and catless down pipes, they didn't say anything bout my intercooler or anything. Much easier in my opinion to take the 2 hours to put the stock dp's and airbox back on then worry about and try to find a smog ref that'll pass it.

DP fix will show ready after 10-15 min varied driving, not 150 miles lol

I think while installing the Dp Fix you have to clear your check engine a couple times while you fine tune the pot

What? Every time you clear codes, your drive cycle resets and your catalyst state moves to "not ready".

You have to find the Bmw drive cycle and follow that. It may take a few times but they will all reset with the dp fix on and it is a good suggestion to have the stock airbox on.

Same here and I was at a STAR station.
He did crawl under and look for the cats in the DP.
If you have removed the cats and have DP, beware.
