Rear inlet loose or something else?
Hey,
In the last month or two my car has started to have some sort of turbo whine. It sounds exactly like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRmqiH0P2cE Could it be loose rear / front inlet also or maybe something else? My car pulls just fine, hits boost targets etc. I have 18k miles on OEM turbos. Also i noticed that last week or so it's been -15C / 5℉ outside and now that yesterday temperatures dropped back to +1C / 34℉, the whine is still there but MUCH quiter? How do i / from where i check if rear inlet has come off loose? i was trying to see it from enginebay with flashlight but didn't really see it properly. Thanks beforehand! |

I just checked, both seem to be seated all the way.
Again today it's been quite warm outside and sound has been very minimal. Does it sound like i could have a some sort of leak or maybe my turbos are just noisy at cold weather? ![]() What throws me off is that last winter i didn't have this issue. If someone has good tips where to look at next maybe, i appreacite it! Thanks. |
Appreciate
