19 in tires (everyday and Track)

Whats the best tires for grip on the street? I am going to be gettign a set of M6 reps and was told the goodyears are great but very expensive. Generals I heard are popular. What do you guys think? if its a difference of like 400 or so I'd rather get the less expensive ones.

ps I am going to be going the the track next wed. I am going to run with a 1/4 tank of 93 octane and totaly stock except for my Dinan Flash..

Hopefully I can pull into the 12's
