xDrive Steering Rack

I bought a used steering rack because I think my might of shit the bed. I need confirmation before installing a new one because there is no DIY for it and I know for a fact some of the xDrive components get in the way. If anyone knows s how to do it please share.

My symptoms are:
Dead steering feel especially at high speeds and a bad creak when you shake the wheel back in forth when the engine is off.

My tie rods and straight control arms have play and will be replaced. I just need to know if I have to do the rack at the same time.

Here is a video of the noise
