ABS pump replacement

I have a few questions. My pump is bad and I got a replacement.

Can I put the replacement in the car and still drive it till I get the new pump coded?

Is there directions on coding the pump? I have all the software and a cable from Bimmer Geek.

Thank you

If it's just the pump that's bad then swap the pump and keep your DSC. No coding required. Just bleed the system and perform DSC adjustment routine in ISTA D.
