just try to find somebody on the forum who can help you to perform the installation and has a garage. If you are not familiar with this kind of work you easily can need 2 - 4 hours for the installation and some more time in case you did something wrong. I'm sure you will get help from other enthusiasts here, who are local to you. To the AA Active Processor itself: It's a great device. I installed it on March 28th, 2008 and had fun with the car since then. No hassles, no issues. Max boost has been a little bit over 14psi, including any boost spikes. Of course, you don't get the most powerful ECU tune available but I'm sure you get one of the best tunes ( reliability, quality and milage ) available. It exists and is real. If you like more power you can install DP's and exhaust later on. I will install my FMIC soon and after that has been verified to work flawless, probably catted RISS DP's. Enjoy your tune ! I installed the AA software today and I got to say I'm very very pleased with this product. Very smooth and has real impressive power. However, Eugen I'm just curious about how the other software products stack to this in your opinion? For example: the popular V2 software, was there a big difference between these 2 programs?

Well, I don't know the actual status of the v2 / v3 development. I finally wanted a finished product from a company with a lot of experience and so I ended up with the new AA Active Processor. I'm happy with it and don't miss the v2. The v2 / v3 will provide more power and you can read a lot about it on the forum. It's all about your preferences and expectations.

I'm not aware about any problems with DP's. AA confirmed to me when there would be some, they would fix it. I have currently no aftermarkt DP's installed.

I initially underestimated the value of BMW specific knowledge when it comes to tuning the N54. Have my lessons learned now. |

Don't get me wrong, but didn't AA's tuning "tool"(XEDE) for the N54 originally come from Vishnu in the first place? AA just used their tuning capabilities along with the same tool that Vishnu once used to tune the N54? Not trying to start a war here, I have a lot of respect for AA and plan on purchasing their FMIC in the future. I know they have a good rep with other makes of BMW, but wouldn't agree that Vishnu somewhat gave them a step into the right direction with the n54? or was their XEDE software and platform completely different then what Vishnu had?
