SSTT to JB2H!!
I just wanted to share my experience with the JB2H that I switched to from SSTT. I used to love my SSTT until I just got used to it so much and adapted to it so I felt I needed more power. So I went with the JB2H. The JB2H arrived today in the mail with the new solenoid kit. I can't remember how long it took me for the installation because I honestly didn't care, I was just enjoying my time installing the JB2H . It was amazing, especially for the fact that it was my first time opening up the ECU.
Anyways, so when I finished installing it, I try to start the car but nothing happens, I call Terry right away, and guess what? He picks up right away!!!! and this was 9:30pm EST, so I guess 6:30pm in California. Apparently I had mis inserted one of the sliding slots. So I had that fixed and the car starts perfectly!!! no rough idle or anything wat so ever So the fun part now! I go out for a drive, and this thing is INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I LOVEEE ITTT. I'M IN LOVE with this thing!!!!!!! The car pulls so hard and its now breaking traction in SECOND GEAR with and auto tranny!! I can't imagine how its going to be when its finally adapted This might sound crazy, but I was doing 10miles of city driving and beating the hell out of the car but still the temperature didnt pass 235, with my SSTT it used to go till 250 if i drive hard. So thats something amazing On the other hand.......................getting out that grey tube was A PAIIIIIIIIN. it was glued to the T, couldnt get it out easily at all! but after getting it out, the rest of the solenoid kit installation went smooth. Another thing I realized was that when I WOT the car, there is this slight lag where I get some slight power before getting the full power and the strong hit! But the power delivery and boost was very smooth. So is this "lag" because it still hasnt fully adapted or is it cus of the way the new solenoid bypass works? looking forward to hear your opinions and I will be posting up a dyno very soon!! I'm expecting ~340rwhp, I had 322rwhp with SSTT One last thing. I wanted to thank Terry for his great product and great support and for answering all my questions. |

it really depends on how the dyno is set up. i agree though, if its a dynojet that is calibrated correctly it will be around the high 320 range not 340

Congrats on the Helix! Hope you enjoy it but for now I dont think I want more than the JB2H, I'm loving it. I was driving around yesterday in the car after midnight and burnt half a tank of gas! lol

Where did you get this info from? Just curious, 'cause I'm still undecided whether I should wait for SSTT 2 or go another route...

About the SSTT they said that the aim of it wont be power gains although there might be some, ~15rwhp, but they said the aim is to solve the power loss in the higher end rpm. |

jb2 and SSTT is about equal speed and power wise.. the H gives it a bit more, my cuzin is running it on his car right now,(jb2H) but will be going to jbX soon. are cars are about equal to 100mph. he has a e90 335i and i have a e92 both AT on 93 octane. its a drivers race i guess, maybe in speeds higher there will be somewhat of a difference

I just switched from SSTT to JBX as well, now I also got DP's and the BMS intake so the car is MUCH MUCH faster

the new kit just makes the power delivery smoother and apparently people who are running JB2HR on 93 octane say the new solenoid set up makes it less likely for you to get a limp mode
