Looks like it is connected to a air compressor. What is it used for?

That works off a air compressor, (so VERY Little water in the mix). I would Never ever ever ever use that on the inside of a car!! (It looks like it just makes a mess, I understand you clean it up, but still...
To the OP: Try it if you want, it is your money, but it looks stupid and more work then help to me. Buy this if you want a cheap way to foam up the outside of your car Gilmore foam gun Cheaper then the powerwasher and foam cannon attachment some detailer use, but cheaper and easier then the tornado |

haha... i haven't been on DB or autopia in a while..too busy... i was just curious to know if anyone has it or has used it. seemed like a glorified foam gun to me too. i was confused about whether the long white attachment was a vacuum or a sprayer? i'll just stick to my extractor, vac, brushes, and chemicals. i've even ditched the foam gun, that thing sprays out too much water, not enough foam. besides, i think the high pressure pre-wash is the most important aspect of washing anyways. if you can remove as much dirt as possible BEFORE you even put soap on the car, you'll minimize swirling...and then comes the grout sponge/mitt and 2 bucket method.
