LCI E92 Headlight options
Are there ANY available aftermarket options for a pair of E92 LCI headlights? Mine are pretty hazed and I wouldn't mind replacing them, but I can only find OEM headlights for ~$700 a piece and can't really justify spending all that just to remove the hazing.
Or can anyone offer any pointers on replacing the lens on these? I have seen the pre-LCI guides on replacing the lenses but have only heard of horror stories when it comes to the LCI. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about getting some fresh looking headlights back on the car. Any help is appreciated! |

Yeah I mean I GUESS that would make sense... Lol I've done it 3 times already and it never looks "perfect" like I'd like it to but I'll probably just end up doing it again. Unless someone chimes in with experience replacing lenses

Yeah I think restoring the headlight would be best or news lens. I feel like the reason you say you don't notice any good difference might be because of the top eyebrow that is inside the headlight is yellowed? A heavy duty restoration kit should be able to make your headlight look brand new a part from the inside eyebrow. You then need to apply something to restore UV protection.
I want to restore mine but also the eyebrow so not to sure what to do at the moment. Not sure what material the eyebrow is and if it's polishable. And then to find a semi-permanent UV coating because the one year coatings on the market won't do if I need to open my headlight every year... hard to find something more durable. Don't want to go off topic but I see you E92 still runs after your fix? Or did you end up new car/engine. |

Yeah my eyebrows are somewhat yellowed as well, just another reason I was really wanting to just replace them but I can't justify $600 each for new headlights. Plus I need a new LED module for one and those aren't cheap either. Damn LCI lol.
Still the same engine after the bearing replacement, it's been 3000 miles so far. Still no problems! Counting my blessings for sure. |
