I searched around a little and couldn't find a thread about this but if there is my fault. My e92 doesn't have iDrive thankfully, was wondering if anyone has cut away part of the dash and made an in dash mount for a phone or tablet to use as gauges, and run the navigation and such off of my actual phones hot spot? I have unlimited hot spot so the that wouldn't be a problem, and this seems a more affordable and easier solution than buying a carplay unit to swap in.

Somewhat like that yes. What did you use for that? I'm looking to just use an old android tablet or phone so I can run MHD on that as well.

That’s not mine. I got those images from google.
