Hello,

i am about to buy a bmw 325i e90 2011. The seller sent me some videos about the car. Everything looks nice, except the engine working. I`ve asked him if it was a cold start and he told me that he just took the car off the garage and made the video. I can hear a strange noise, seems to be the fan working hard, but is that normal just after a cold start?

That sounds normal to me. Sounded like someone speaking German in the background, but if you live in a hot climate like me the electric fan will come on usually every time you start the engine with the AC on.

Thank you! Actually the language spoke in the background is portuguese, and the climate is hot.

Ah I see. The fan will also come on immediately really high if your AC system is overpressurized. That's really easy to check in the US, when I lived in Europe, you couldn't do it so easily. That being said, it still sounded normal.
