E92 320i fuel economy

Agreed! But then on paper figures will show something different.....

I very rarely "rag" mine - its my daily driver in which I'm happy to "cruise".....unfortunately this is probably why I notice the poor running of the engine so much!!

But then the 325i real world is supposed to be 26........so how does that work ????

It's pretty depressing this low mpg / high fuel cost thing.

I suggest we all set out OBC binnacle to display MPH instead. Lets see if we can get this up to say an average of 50mph

Spread the word............mph is the new mpg

My 330d Auto (With ED) is doing 39.7mpg average over 4k miles so far. Motorway trips are giving 42mpg at 75mph. Around town however it's shocking and drops to 25mpg rather too quickly. Good job i don't do many short trips!

My friend has a 330d manual (pre ED) and getts 42MPG average with similar driving conditions to me.

Took a run down the M56 yesterday, about 35 miles to Chester Zoo, and the average mpg came out aat 45.5. This is the highest figure I've seen (318i M Sport, Efficient Dynamics).

Up to Wembley and back on Saturday - 70/75 on way up (busy and we were in a convoy!).....a fair bit quicker on the way back

.....overall average for the day was 36mpg....

Hmmm that seems a bit low. Chris, is your car an Efficient Dynamics model? If so, surely you shold be getting more than that from a motorway run?

Non ED model.....and in fairness, when we parked at Uxbridge the OBC was showing just over 40mpg.........it was on the way back that it went down....
