I feel massively let down by what HBO did to GOT - I will not be giving them a second chance. They killed any chance of me being interested in this franchise going forward.

I agree with you. That last season didnt leave me wanting more, quite the opposite actually.

I read the book, it's not a groundbreaking story but it's basically all war and aerial dragon battles. If HBO throws a similar budget at this series at least we'll get some epic action.

The GoT show runners really got in trouble when they outkicked their book coverage (because of GRR Martin's lazy ass not completing the series). This book is completely written so they don't have to confront that problem.

Yeah, but much like a Nicholas Cage movie, I know I'll watch it anyway in the hopes it could be good.
