Hello everyone! I am so close to getting this CIC retrofit done but I am stumped!
UPDATE: I was able to figure it out! I found the correct version of FS Tools and I was able to finish my retrofit! I still can't explain the Toolset 32 error however. I finally finished updating my CIC to .C1A with ICOM Next A+B using WinKFP and v67 datens. I figured out this was possible to do with the engine running, as I was having issues with my power supply. The head unit has been default-coded and everything works except for Navigation of course. The issue I come across is when I want to use Freischalt-Tool v2.0.2.1 - CARSERVER to connect to my head unit. It does not want to Connect to my car whatsoever. I also wanted to try to change my VIN, just in case if that was the issue, in Toolset 32. I was able to get as far as selecting CMEDIAR.prg and seeing the jobs, but when trying to write my VIN, I come up with: EDIBAS Error 19: IFH-0009: NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLUNIT I used EasyConnect to switch my settings back to KDCAN. I am using a Bimmergeeks KDCAN cable and I am able to communicate to CIC and the rest of my car with INPA and ISTA but I am still stuck with this error. I am currently using Bimmergeeks version of BMW Standard Tools. I am not sure what else to try, nor am I sure if I have the right version of FSC Tools. I have been going off of this guide for my CIC Retrofit: Link And this guide for Tool 32: Link Any help would be appreciated, I will try to respond as fast as I can, thank you very much. |

IFH-0009 is : = cant see device error.
I would say there is something in the ediabas install that its does not like. If NCSexpert works then so should tool32, so get that working and you should be god to go.

Just curious, did you get an ICOM clone or a legit one?

My NCSExpert and all other programs communicate perfectly with CIC, so I have no explanation for this issue. ![]() |
